1997 cl3.0
My CL3.0 has about 270k miles. It runs pretty good normally. However, a little over a week ago I was driving to work (I drive over an hour one way) and it started sputtering like it was misfiring. Well, I drove home sputtering all the way. So far I've changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor and rotor, fuel filter, and the fuel pump. The pressure was released after the pump was installed so there wasn't air in the line. Still sputtering. When I first start it up, it runs fine, but after a few minutes it starts to sputter a little. If I idle around town it's fine. If I try to step into it a little it sputters. Kind of stumped. I have ideas, but would like other input. Advice?

what parts of the EGR did you clean? The valve itself and/or the passages in the intake manifold? If it runs well during cold starts and sputters only after it is warmed up, this suggests that you may have a vacuum leak.. possibly at the EGR valve

I cleaned the passages and the valve. That makes sense as when I took the valve off there was no gasket.

how do you clean the valve? I just cleaned my passage ways. I read that the EGR Valve should be replaced when you clean the passage way. I thought it was like a sensor and you couldn't clean it.

the EGR valve itself should not require cleaning or replacement. the ports usually clog first. If the EGR gasket is missing or broken that could cause a vacuum leak and engine stumbling.
