i have a I4 2.2
i got
hks cat back exhuast
dc ceramic 4-2-1 header
aem cai
aem pullies
venom 400

i haven't tested my car yet. i know stock 0-60 on my car is like 8.9 and 1/4 like 16.1

i would bet i can hit 60 in the 7's. like mid to high. at least definitely with the venom on. i wish it was 7.1 hopefully one day i can get my little 2.2 in low 7s. that would be nice for my everyday car.

At the last meet in NJ I pulled an 8.3 0-60 in my 3.0. However, I must stress that the fact that the AC was on did not help!

That and the fact that it was hot and humid that day. Bone stock except for the intake.

hey fode,

what shot of nos? as you can see down below i am running 14.8 in my 3.0CL and thats with alot of mods. you dont have any mods listed in you sig. your car should run in the 16's stock, i know nos helps but not that much.

Just once. It was a public street and their was actually a cop that rolled around a few seconds before to see what was going on. I know that the car can do better, but it's funny to think that perhaps the AC really drains that much power....

And yes i know our cars are much more classy than either of these two, but im seeing a limited preformance range for the 2.2

no keep the cl. just loose the f22. a h22 1st gen cl would be the shit. sport and luxury. i would love to have an h22 modded enough to take out a new type s so i can see the face on the driver when they hear my I4 dohc vtec go screaming by like a little bitch. i hope college pays off cuz i really want a h22 as soon as my warrenty is up.

sometimes i think my venom 400 is n20 but its far from it. kinda wroks the same way. little led lights up and boom. nice bust of power. far from a 50 or 75 shot thats for sure. its like a 20 shot. heh

97 h22 is same hp much lighter car. less torque but some mods will take care of that. if u want best performance h22 is the way to go not j30

I new the h22 is lighter but was not sure it the torque of the j30 was enough to compinsate for the extar weight. But you could also mod a j30 as well.
I guess what im realy asking after modifications what would be more preformance j30 or h22?

h22 j30 is limited right now cuz there is no 6 spd out yet plus not to many mods available. the j32 tranny is supposed to bolt up to a j30. so i thought about goin that route but h22 is the best if u want max potential. u could easily get 300hp out of an h22

F0de is a crazy bastard.....

I ran a 15.8 @86 or 87 can't remember.. it was close to 15.7 though btw... crap... my new rims will even slow me down more, cuz i ran w/ stock tires on the front and 17's on the rear. I'll bring the car to the track a few weeks.... see how it's fairing than.

Btw I pulled out the vtec controller cuz it was fucking annoying the shit out of me. The damn vtec would kick in at random and never when i wanted it... and anywhere in the spectrum b4 the vtec the car would be slow as balls. Man i never got to test it at the track though.
