everyone needs to vent now and then...
just dont use the damn thing, ive seen springs go through walls or kill the person using the compressor cause either they didnt know what they were doing, or the compressors were fucked.

you dont need a spring compressor to change shocks and springs...
i change peeps suspensions all the time (for $80)...i have never used a spring compressor..
just be careful if you do.....the spring will shoot out really hard when you unscrew it

Not all cars require spring compressors (my Subaru for instance... it just slightly pops when you undo the top hat, but nothing flies anywhere), but I wouldn't try it on the Acura unless someone I didn't like was standing in front of the spring. :P

Get a spring compressor especially if this your first time, dont risk it. The fronts really need it but you could get away with not using one in the back. Auto Zone does indeed lend them out for a $40 deposit, meaning it is returned to you when the compressor is returned
