tranny flush

Girlfriends mdx has been having transmission issues, hard shift changes etc. She just had motor mounts replaced and 5+ tranny flushes done by AAA. She just took it to dealer, they said your not supposed to use the machine to flush, just simply pour and drain a few times. My question is have you guys had tranny flushed by machine? Any input? Dealer said they will flush it proper way, if that doesn't help she will need new tranny. She has an 04 with around 75k miles. Thanks

5+ tranny flushes?!?!

The consensus here about Honda/Acura trannys is, no flush. Just drain and refill 3 times. The 3x3 method.

Might be too late now, after all these flushes?

Why is the dealer flushing it again? That's not going to do anything but replace new fluid with new. Unless of course AAA put in the wrong fluid - Dexron III? - if that's the case then get AAA to pay for the new tranny!

Tranny flushes on Hondas? Not a good idea ...

update, dealer called her yesterday and said after they did proper flush as mentioned above, they test drove it and said it made a huge difference. they are going to do one last final flush this weekend and should be good to go without needing new tranny. btw they gave her a 2010 mdx for the weekend, very nice i must say. i have a cl typeS and we drive each others cars often so im very familiar with her 04, im very pleased with the newer model, it was a joy to drive!
