Hi guys, so I was looking to swap out my battery on my MDX. Apparently the stock battery has no holding strap of any kind and it is REALLY difficult to lift out. Does anyone have a technique to get out short of buying a battery carrier ?

Maybe I need more coffee but I don't see what part your talking about. Even in that picture. My battery has nothing to enable me to pull it out of the battery box. Your's does ?
There is a bracket that holds it down if that is what your referring to. But I am talking about a handle that would enable me to grab it out. The interstate battery I purchased has one. ha. You guys are funny. But with no strap, you are not getting this battery out. Maybe I dont have the stock battery, but there is literally nothing to grab in the tight spot its in. I got it out with the battery pulling tool pretty easily though.

Guess it depends on your strength. I slipped my fingers down both sides, squeezed hard to generate as much clamping force as I could and lifted straight up. I am almost 67 and don't think I could do it again in a few years.

You are right, there are no straps to pull it out with. I was able to barely squeeze in my hands down the sides and pull it out. It's even more tricky when you go to lower it back in. Like others stated, just squeeze as tight as possible until you can get it above the brace, at which you can set it for a brief moment to reposition your hands to have a better grip.
