2007 MDX bluetooth pairing

We have a 2007 MDX... I should say that it's mom's car. We've tried using the manual to pair her phone with the handsfree link. Unfortunately, the manual isn't helpful in the least and we (meaning me) haven't been able to link them. Short of going to the dealership, what should I do?

thanks 007 Acura... Now I realized what I did wrong... I was telling it to go to the regular setup instead of the phone setup... thanks for the help.

Hey guys,

I just read your thread about setting up bluetooth in a 2007 mdx and I tried using it the way 007 said by using the link and I am still having trouble. I just bought the mdx 2007 tech package eith navigation today and I was trying to figure out how to set it up and I am not having any luck. I tried using the acuralink.com and when it showed compatible iphones the iphone x is not listed. Am I not able to use bluetooth because my phone is to new?

^ Should not be a problem, the bluetooth standard is backwards compatible..
Are you sure the Bluetooth unit is in full working condition? as in, Can you pair any other phone?

Thank you for getting back t me. I am not sure to be honest. I just picked it up today from the dealer and I have been trying to figure it out. When I went to the settings there was a previous phone hooked up to and i tried going into the settings for the phone I wasn't able to get a pin or anything to pair it but on my steering wheel i pressed a button and some lady voice talked. and when i said pair a phone she said radio on so that did not do me any good.

There is 2 buttons for the TECH MDX..
The 1st one is for bluetooth and the 2nd one is for the Voice Command feature (You can change the A/C temp or radio station with your voice).

Originate calls

Bluetooth works great when I answer a call, but if I originate a call on the phone it will not use the bluetooth connection.

Phone is Blackberry KeyOne, Android OS.

You need to go to Phone Menu, you will see option to 'Transfer" the call to BT, once selected the call will transfer to car's BT

I believe yours should have BT but only for phone calls not for audio streaming.

You can use the following device that some folks have been using it plugs into the XM radio port and provide Streaming functionality
