Was this a deal?

I just extended my contract with Cingular for 2 years. WHy?

$49.99: 600 Mins Nationwide Family Plan (w/rollover)
$19.99: Second Line
$14 Nights & Weekend starting at 7 pm (5,000 mins)

Included Unlimited M2M Nationwide

Ok here comes the deal

- $14 discount for the next 24 months
250 extra minutes for each line for the next 24 months.

Easier:

1100 minutes/month (600 subject to rollover), 7 pm nights & weekends (5,000 mins), Unlimited M2M, 2 lines, all for $70 per month (plus taxes).

National GMS Network.

Was it a deal?

I am trying to get rid of my land line.

Customers just want to make sure their phone works where they play, relax, and work. At home, at the office, and the cabin. After that, who cares if I have to roam when I visit the cousin next summer in the panhandle of Oklahoma.

UPDATE

Just added 250 mins more, taking advantage of their $9.99 for additional line:

$59.99: 850 Mins Nationwide Family Plan (w/rollover)
$9.99: Second Line
$14 Nights & Weekend starting at 7 pm (5,000 mins)

Included Unlimited M2M Nationwide

Plus this benefits

- $14 discount monthly
250 extra minutes for each line monthly

Outcome:

1350 minutes/month (850 subject to rollover), 7 pm nights & weekends (5,000 mins), Unlimited M2M, 2 lines, all for $70 per month (plus taxes).

National GMS Network.

Now I will definetely NOT have a landline.

good deal, dont listen to mikey's bullshit map theory, he just uses that approach because verizon plans fucking blow. and if worst comes to worse you have a 15 day trial period. try it out, you will be happy.

oh and its GSM not GMS lol

Cool! All without having to sign up for Verizon Wireless. Imagine that.

Mikey, like I really need for my phone to work in the panhandle of Oklahoma. Or perhaps on the moon. Doesn't Verizon have a cellular tower on Mars, too. Now THAT'S universal coverage.....

Don't know about other parts of the country. I will be primarily be in South Florida, where reception is very good.

I am know happy about the benefits of my plan, and being a customer with Cingular (before Bellsouth Mobillity) since 1999, I have had just good experiences.
