Cool My photo thread!
Hey guys, figured I'd start a thread here to show some of my photography. Yesterday I took some new pictures, so I thought I'd share. All comments and criticism are welcome

I haven't been outside to shoot in a while so excuse the pics if they suck

Previously I had shared all my photos in my "progress thread" on the 3G TL side but I closed that down to start clean and I'll be keeping my non-TL (okay maybe a couple car pics) in here.

No, I'll be getting that by the end of the month. These were shot with my XS. The car pics were taken on ISO 400 and the noise was just when I zoomed in.

I don't like the noise the XS gives at such low ISO's. At 400, there is noise and I hate it. :/ Also, sensor, weather sealer, bigger body. The XS has served me well but it's been 3 years, I need an upgrade.

Don't fret over your T3i. There's some small advantages but nothing I would ditch the T3i over unless you find yourself needing those few advantages. And thanks, I hope you enjoy yours as well

This picture i would've stopped down. Probably to F/2.2 All Lenses have a sweet spot . and 50 1.8's is F/2.2




Just remember you don't always have to be wide open. I know when i spoke to you, that you like shooting in "P" mode and nothing is wrong with that. But try shooting in other modes. When we meet up again, ill shed some more light on things.

Austin, you can make a killing with this hobby....

A local (almost local) guy does photography and he he concentrates on cars and girls...his shots are pretty SICK !!! Maybe send him an email and get your website up and get your name out there....

He does not know me very well....we met couple times and I sat in his Elise but thats about it....he does know Tyler (one nut Tyler) very well....hit him up....here is his website:

Thanks, I know it doesn't have to be wide open all the time. I haven't used the 50 in a while so I was just shooting whatever and using a low aperture. I kept it in AV mode that day

Canon XS has been sold! So long little buddy

I know it's off to a good home though since it was sold to a long time friend.

Canon 60D will be ordered probably tonight.
