C&P Random Thread -

I wanted to start something like this a few days ago, and today's comment about that other thread turning into a Twitter-ish one sparked a renewed interest.

Use this place to think out loud, brainstorm, bounce ideas off other people, etc.

Miz - this is where you can post all your deliberations about whether or not to sell your camera gear. Where are you on that decision anyway?

I'm looking at either the Sigma 30 or 50mm f/1.4 or...the Nikon 50mm 1.4G

Thoughts?

and this is fricking amazing - they discover a new species of CusCus that has basically never had any interaction with any other animals before - living in an extremely remote area - so basically the animal has no fear..

oh I'd keep the 5. but not for that reason. I would keep it because I think it's a future-classic camera and also I really like it.

btw I think FF is overrated. I would really like to get a 7 and find out for myself, whether that is true.

Overrated when you get very clean images with current line up of FF cameras in most cases double that of cropped?

Current Classic.

Dooo eet...I'd love to hear from someone who has such experience with the 5. You're pretty objective AND prolific, so your comparo would hold some water.

Yeah, I think the 5D is still an amazing camera.

I think the 30mm 1.4 i heard good things
I have a 50mm 1.4d the g is costlier but you won't need it unless you prefer the better optics.
