Rough idle

So lately I've been noticing my TL shakes a bit about a minute or two after I start it, then runs smooth afterward. I was thinking about replacing the spark plugs and (maybe?) the coil pack as well? I've been searching forever and cannot find ANYTHING on after what mileage should the coil pack be changed. Mine is at about 58,000 miles. What else could this possibly be, if not the plugs?

It could be a bad coilpack. It could be a spark plug. But coilpacks are good for a long time.

seafoam- 1 can to just under 1/2 tank for cleaning from injectors to cat will usually fix a miss,, if its not a real serious problem --just gunked up

swap the plugs before you do anything else...

if the problem is still present get a compression test done...

dirty injectors will cause rough idle- been running 91-93 octane from name brand stations?
plugs are about ready based on miles if extreme use- ie driving on Earth

Only 93 from Hess, or Shell.. and if I'm desparate I'll settle for 92 from Wawa.. I haven't checked the spark plugs yet, will do asap. The car is also making a "putt putt" sound from the back of the exhaust. I'm hoping changing the plugs & a treatment for the fuel injectors will be the fix. :\

But I am not the first owner of this car.. I've only had it for about a year and a month. Got it from an Acura dealer by me in NJ so I have no idea what the previous owner did or didn't do to it.

The car is designed to have a rough idle at start. The car intentionally misfires to heat up the cats quicker to reduce emissions, that is part of what makes it ULEV. It's normal, there is nothing wrong.

Do a search, this has been discussed many times.
