New Ebay Roof Spoiler First Look

I have been watching ebay for a good deal on a roof spoiler for a few months now, finally found what looked like a great deal:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAINT...ht_4507wt_1165

$95 painted and shipped! I bought it, gave them my paint code 2 weeks ago to the day. It showed up today:

Its surprisingly flexible, made completely of Polyurethane which is something I don't have that much experience with. I have been working with Fiberglass for years.
Hoping to get it installed this week, will post completed pics at that time. Hope it looks as good on the car!

why did you need the decklid spoiler when your tl-s already comes with a spoiler?

I'm going to install this right now. I know it's gonna be little shorter than the width of the window.

I can't complain for what I paid. I got this for $70 since it was still in promotional period. The paint was perfect.

I just installed it the gap was about 1/4" on both side. Mine is WDP so it's more noticeble but you really gotta look into a detail to see the gap.

Jared, put a ruler up next to the side of the spoiler so we can get an idea of how wide or thick it is.

Come on guys-I'm sure he gets the idea. We don't need 3 people asking for pictures.

I didn't wanna jack your thread but since you want them, here:

I kinda messed up and the gap on the left and the right side is not precisely even but you can't tell.

Before I installed it, I kinda bent the spoiler to fit the curveture of the roof so it was really easy to install.
The fit is not as good as the ATLP but it's 1/3 of the unpainted expensive one so I'm okay with it.

Thanks for those, I like it.
Was curious to find out what mine would look like, haven't had time to install it yet.

Thanks for the pics, Takoyaki.
Jared was happy with his paint match (KBP). I'm encouraged to hear you were happy, too. I know your WDP and my AM are notorious for mismatch.
As to the fit, you mentioned it was slightly misaligned. Would it be fair to say that the spoiler stretches from the side of the glass itself to the other side? Slightly smaller?
Also, what did you use to secure it?
Thanks again. I like the way it sits and I think it would be a nice complement to my CSL spoiler.

^ I am really happy with the paint. I got it for $70 shipped since I ordered it when it just came out.
Here're more pic of the gap. If you take extra time to align it, you can do much better job.

What about how you secured it. 3M tape? Window Weld?

The spoiler came with 3M double sided tape installed. Also, it came with the glass adhesive. I'm not even sure if I needed to use the adhesive but I used it little bit.

I'd be interested in seeing some not-so-close pictures of said spoiler on the WDP. Like mentioned, the majority of people on the streets aren't that detail-oriented and will not notice the gaps. It looks like a decent inexpensive alternative. For the life of me, I can't imagine why somebody can't create a mold that precisely fits the TL and sell them this cheap. If I only had the capital to start it...

You know guys, I've got a JDM roof spoiler too. It has the same gap and it doesn't bother me in the least. I don't even notice it anymore. If you're really picky, yes, it will be a big deal. But for me, the bigger picture is that the roof spoiler adds to the aesthetic look of the TL. To me, the gap means I was missing the bigger picture.

What do you guys think about adding this when one already has the lip spoiler? Too much?

I think the guy was referring to having a trunk lip spoiler. To answer his question, I actually think that it would complement the trunk lip spoiler. I'm not so hot on the idea of adding it when the car has a wing spoiler installed, but who knows?

I'm still hoping to get some additional shots from a distance of this piece on the WDP in this thread.

haha, if you're referring to my post, no . Let me clarify - the trunk lip spoiler and this roof spoiler. So one on the roof, and the lip spoiler from thespoilerstore (ebay) on the trunk. Overkill?
