What a B-U-Tiful day for a Dyno!!

NY weather was absolutely perfect today, so i swung by the dyno place, and man, do i have a smile on my face!!

First off, let me say, if you want power, and you don't have the RV6 Pre-Cat deletes... GET THEM!!!

The only things I've done since my last pull was the Innovative Mounts & RV6 Pre-cats

Last Run, April 2008.
3rd Gear
Max Power
272.46 whp // 219.49 wtq
65.25 Degrees

October 2008
3rd Gear
Max Power
293.16 whp // 233.66 wtq
66.27 Degrees

What you've all been waiting to read!

Power Gains from RV6 Pre-Cat Deletes
20.70 whp / 14.17 wtq

I've been using the same exact dyno, every time i pulled my car

239 whp Stock
249 whp + CAI, Pulley, P2R TB spacer, OE IM gaskets
261 whp + ATLP Catback Exhaust
272 whp + ATLP J-Pipe
293 whp + RV6 PreCats & Innovative Mounts

300 whp ??? soon.... real soon....a nice tune, P&P of the IM runners.. and im sure ill be around 310+ whp (of course, all dynos read different) but i keep using the same one, with similar run conditions

i'll post dyno graphs later!!

Oh, and FYI, the 250wtq in my signature, was a 4th gear pull in April... i pulled 4th gear once today to see TQ numbers, and it showed 264. However, 4th gear yields low WHP b/c of rev limit issues... car dropped off at 5k RPM.. Wouldnt keep pushing...

I've got about 2000-2500 miles on mine, never got a CEL once..

yes , the car does smell ... cold starts & WOT, it smells like exhaust fumes.... i dont mind... honestly, i enjoy it!! it gets me high!! (not literally, but the smell of exhaust just makes my blood flow and my heart pump)

i still have a 3rd stock cat in place... going to be finding a solution for it soon.. its either test pipe ($65) or ATLP hi-flo ($300)... not sure what im gonna do yet

Solid numbers!

I would have been interested to know what the gains from Procats -> Precats deletes would be also, but this is good info. good luck with your other hp mods..

oh and you have a versus hood, not a vis hood right?

It is VIS actually... pretty good fitment, needed a few modifications, but strong hood.. held up so far w/o hood pics..

now that i have this dyno, im gonna try out a 3rd cat or test pipe.. to see if the any power is gained or lost.... i think i'll start with a test pipe, and if power is lost, try the 3rd cat..

Well, Stillhere153 & TheWander316 did a dyno similar.. i think they both had different j-pipes and wheels at the time, not sure... but it was like an 11whp difference on the J35A8 (Type-S's).... i think w/ pro-cats made 249 and with pre-cats made 260..

I cant believe these gave me that much power... granted, all the other exhaust modifications are working in conjuction with it... if you slap a set of these a close to stock 3.2L , you'll probably only gain like 10 or 11whp... still an AWESOME gain for the money...

ur a pansy coulda got the test pipe for $50 isntalled... and it aint $65 the price went up to $75 with the crappy economy, the race pipe is $65

and I dont think 10whp on a stock car is accurate from just precat deletes, I would say 20whp

^ schedule me an app. im available 24/7 lol, i think its like an hour drive though, so i have to get there early so my car can cool down lol. I think with a tune, your car would def pull over 310, with a race pipe, much much more lol.

you think the race-pipe helps? why do i feel like i would lose power for some reason? thats why i never really jumped on buying one of those.. also, gotta be a LIL nice to the environment.. i think the ATLP is nice, but $300 is alot....

HOLY SHIT

dude, now I am even MORE excited for this coming tues.. I'm installing the precats, ATLP race pipe and J-pipe. That's added on to what I already have, which is an intake, spacer, pulley, and ATLP catback.

Allon, what #s do you think i'd put up? I basically have the same exact shit as you do, minus the 3.5L engine lol, so I guess -16hp would be a good estimate yeah?

If I make 270+ whp I think i'd be happy.

But the thing is, i'll have 20 inch sevas on LOLL

I dont think there will be any power loss from the ATLP race pipe, it's basically making no restrictions whatsoever on your exhaust. I noticed a good difference when i installed it..

Richie... i said it before, ill say it again.. great product!!

i didnt really notice huge differences right away, because i had my old setup, then put the 20's on... then installed the pre-cats...... my old Rays were MAD HEAVY. 32lbs F / 34lbs R..... once i sold them, the car feels like a million bucks !!

Awesome numbers....now let's get that thing to the track and get some timeslips!!

Maybe this will finally get the pessimists around here to stop saying TL's only gain 15hp from full bolt ons.

I ran my car a while back with just intake and exhaust and hit 219whp with the 17's up front....i wonder if the RV6 race-pipes, ATLP j-pipe and test pipe will let me break atleast 240....
