Just updated my Gracenote database.

It was pretty straight forward. Only the CD method worked for me. I downloaded the files and took the 2 files out of the downloaded Acura folder and burned it onto a CD.

I must have not got the memo - why do this ???

 

If you have to ask why, you don't need it.

 

gracenote figures out the song your listening to and puts the proper name if it's unnamed.

 

Gracenote already puts my music in proper folder and dont need to download any more to my '11 Advance.
Like i said dudes why download it and to an '11 for OP ?

 

The January, er February, er March update is still not available.

 

Why? Because I just bought my MDX a month ago and Gracenote that came OEM was out of date. If your MDX has an HDD, you need to keep Gracenote updated if you are constantly adding to your music collection.

I ripped a CD to my HDD on my MDX and the song titles came up track 1, track 2, track 3, etc because Gracenote was out of date.

HDD rawks the house!

 

So you can display good interpersonal skills afterall.
Just answer the questions and you will do fine.
My '11 MDX Advance was delivered early Dec and I have not yet seen any need to update Gracenote after some 50 CD's.
I never got that Memo.
All '11 MDX Advances have HDD.

 

Gracenote not only updates its knowledge base with new recordings, but also older titles. That is why you should update, especially if you play a lot of CDs, which by the way will be obsolete in a few years. Its hard to believe that my '04 TL had a cassette player years after cassettes were no longer produced.

 

E92's problem - old software and need to update recent '11 model is apparent that his dealer did not update Gracenote before delivery.
Mine did ... so I wont need to for a while.
All software should be included in dealer prep and he prob should check other software like nav and engine control stuff.
They prob skipped on that stuff also.
