TPMS Issues

I recently purchased a set of RonJon wheels for my 07 MDX and just had them installed this past weekend. The stock wheels have snow tires on them and are now in storage. I bought new TPMS sensors (out of the Acura parts catalog) for the new wheels and had them installed with the new wheels and tires. Everything seemed fine. I drove the car for a bit on Saturday after they were installed and just a little on Sunday. On Monday morning while driving my kids to school, a TPMS error message popped up on the MID and Nav display. No pressure readings were available on the MID. Is there something I need to do to get rid of the error message? Does anyone know what would be causing this error? I've searched all over the web and the answers are confusing, at best. Some say it has to go to the dealer. Some say the TPMS sensors reset themselves.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Honestly I would go to the dealer to have it checked out, hopefully it will just be a reset. I'm pretty sure you have, but did you check the tire pressure of the affected sensor?

I kind of have the same problem with you, but with my TL. At first the OEM TPMS was working perfectly fine with my aftermarket wheels for about 3 months and then I ran over a nail and had that tire patched up. Been getting and error message since that day, so I thought the sensors were bad, so I bought a set of new sensors from Tire Rack and still have the error message. I come to find out that the TPMS needs to be reset and there is a tool to do that, and the dealer has that tool. I suggest you talk to your dealership and see if you need a reset or not. Your dealership might be cool and not charge you since you are still under warranty. My dealership was going to charge me 150$ just to reset the TPMS. I found couple local shops around my area that will charge me 40$ for the reset. Hope the info helps and good luck.
