tire air leak

Had a very slow air pressure leak, like 3lbs every 2 weeks. this was mos ago, had it checked and nothing found except "rust" build-up on wheel and cleaned carefully and resealed but to no avail. So getting close to needing tires so replaced all tires and told shop of the problem. They saw nothing wrong and still have the slow leak. Will need to go back to tire dealer. What's left? Replace pressure sensor? It's a 2006.

Spray some water + soap around the suspect area of the tire and watch for air buble .

I got the same slow air leak last week and found out it was a tiny little hole on the tread .

Last resource is to remove the wheel and deep it to water and watch for bubles .
Hope this help.

Sometimes they don't find leaks first time ..
May take 2nd try and flexing the rubber to cause air bubbles ..
Perhaps a small wire chip in-bedded in tire like I had last month.
Not your sensor - dollars to donuts !!

Actually cannot be tire itself as the old one had same loss of pressure as the brand new one. It has got to be where rim seals to tire although that was cleaned and sealed carefully or the pressure sensor. Someone did mention that these alloy wheels can be porous and actually leak which means a whole new wheel.

i had an air leak from tpms nut. Check it out with water and soap. If it leaks just.. you just need to tighten the nut.. Do not go to crazy...
