Has any one done a diy throttle body cleaning on thier 07-09 MDX. I just want to know if the ecu has to be reset afterwards.

it doesnt have to be reset, but you're in there any way...might as well disconnect the battery.

disconnecting the battery will reset the ecu.

Thanks. I was just worried that you have to use the HDS to reset since Acura doesnt have a pedal dance sequence to reset the ecu like my FX35. I was trying to avoid loosing all my programed settings.

I dont think your throttle body will be dirty, tho.
and cleaning it, wouldnt drastically change the way it drove, hence why I dont think you need to reset.

I'll give it a shot and take some pictures to post. My X has a lot of miles on it 80k so it might be a good time to take a peek.

cool, i was going to ask you to snap some pictures of the throttle body.

but like i said, when you're in there disconnecting hoses/airfilters/throttlebodies might as well disconnect the battery.
