Should i buy it or not

Well guys I have a chance to pick up an 09 mdx tech for $39,000 otd. The problem is that the vehicle has 375 miles on it of people test driven it. I will have full warranty as a new vehicle, what do you guys think should i go for it or not.

I worked to get this vehicle down to 36,790 plus tax which is 39,000. So please guys let me know.

Sounds like a good price. Was there any signs of wear? Any visual blemishes, mechanical issues? Have you taken it for a test drive?

I would look over the car with a fine comb. If everything checks out ok, go for it!

Well here is the deal! I havan't seen the vehicle yet as it's comming from northern Fl to S FL, but the sales person assures me that it will be in new cond and and no blemishes or mech issues. I hope that what he's telling me is correct.

Well I would check it out for myself when it gets there. Do you have to put a deposit or down payment in order for them to ship it to your dealer?

That's a great deal if the car is in "new" condition. I'd say do it, after a good inspection/drive.

I did put a deposit, but that was for the vehicle it's own self. Shipping was part of the deal that was included in the final price.

Refundable deposit? If it looks and feels good to you, go for it.

I really think this is a great deal if the vehicle is in new cond. I've seen what other people are still paying for these cars and they are still paying good amount of money. As of matter fact i posted a thread in edmunds and said what i was about to pay for this car and people didn't believe me.

Update! well guys bad news. It seems that my sales person is unable to get the color I want which is aspen white. It seems that the dealer that had the one i wanted is not letting it go. Now I have two options

1- He can get me any other color new same price.

2- They have a demo one with 2,800 miles on it that i can bring down on the price I'm going to say around 36-37 grand otd what do you guys think i should do...

Get a new one with your color choice ... would be very hard to settle on some color you don't really like since you'll be staring at it EVERYDAY ....

My color choice is aspen white, and they can't find one. The only one they have is the one i mentioned that has almost 3000 miles that they use for demo.

That's why we waited 2 months until our black/black color combo was built. Long wait but worth it since we'll be keeping our X for next 10 years. I don't want to regret getting the wrong color daily.

My car was delivered with about 300 miles on it, was driven from Syracuse to Boston but it was the combo I wanted and it's a good thing I did since Acura no longer offers PMM and Umber combo which is proabally the dumbest thing one could do since everyone loves my combo. So yes if you like it and the waranty will be the same go for it.

If you really want that color and can get the price right then why not? Just make sure they give you a good deal and that everything else checks out. Take a fine comb to it. Good luck!

Seems to happen often

Funny how often this seems to happen... you agree on a good price and then the dealer can't deliver the car for one reason or another...

Update! well guys I pulled the trigger today. They could not find me a new one so i bought the one I mentioned above, 36,500 was as good as i could do. I tried 36 but they would not budge. Do you guys think I still got a good deal? Although they gave me a better warranty 5yr or 62,000 and for power train was 7yr 100,000.

If you're happy then it's a good deal! Getting an Acura with ~2K miles is no big deal (mine had 5K and 58K when I bought, and we love them). Think of it this way - someone drove it for 2 months worth of miles and you got $2500 more in your pocket. That's a good deal any day. You have plenty of warranty left to work out any issues. Congratulations!

Congrats, I would've done the same thing. By experience, owning a car with a color you don't really like it's not fun

I'm not that picky on color unless it's blue, tan, beige, maroon, green, burgendy, black ....or anything but white, gray and silver..... :P

Congrats on the purchase!
