I’ve been looking into buying a 2nd gen MDX, but I see they have electronic sport suspension dampening. What I’m wondering is if you can replace the oem electronic ones with a set of KYBs without it tweeking out the control module and lighting up the dash.

No, you can not. There are several retrofit kits (including electronics) that allow you to disable the alarm.

Just buy an MDX with the Technology Package and it will come with a regular shocks from factory. No alarms, no problems.

 

Only MDX with Sport Package. You will see the "Comfort" button in the center console by the shifter.
