Oil burning
I just changed the engine oil in the 2012 Acura MDX and it measured out to 3 quarts of oil. The correct amount is 4.5-5 quarts of oil. The car has only been driven in the city and has ~3000 miles on it. I understand that it is common during break in periods and for cars mainly driven around lower gears, but I've never seen nearly 2 quarts gone so quickly. I'm not too worried about the burning oil since its so early and we'll see if it continues later on. Oh, the mid said oil life was at 40%
Anyone else have similar experiences with their MDX/Acura?

I noticed this also around 3k miles, went to check oil and dip stick showed low, bottom hash mark, added 1 quart, all good since, now 4,500 miles. Still at 40% oil life.
