Need you guys help and advice

I have an 04 MDX and i have been researching throughout the site for solutions. My MDX turned on the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THEN THE VTM-4 LIGHT comes on as well. It happened 2 days ago and its still on. I have read different scenarios but has anyone gotten both lights at the same time. the lights do not blink they stay from the minute i started up to the minute i shut it down.

is this something major i should be worried about? should i be driving the truck? what can happen if i keep driving it this way? please help your input is greatly appreaciated.

This could possibly be the EGR valve or you may need a valve adjustment. How is the car running?

I think the owners' manu. suggests to take it to the dealer, isn't that so ?

IMO that's something you don't want to mess with ....

You can also take it to a automotive store and have them read the codes for ya so you know what it is before you take it into the dealer.

I actually did decide to take it to my local autozone so they can read me the code and this is what i got

Code : P0325

It reads

BB Knock sensor (KS) circuit malfunction

BB1 - open or short circuit condition
BB2 - poor electrical connection
BB3 - faulty knock sensor

Definition:

BBknock sensor condtion - THe powertrain control module monitors the knock sensor signal for errors

BB1- knock sensor defective
BB2 - Check connector and wiring to sensor
BB3 - Engone mechanical condition knowck or rattle in engine
BB4 - Low fuel pressure

Please let me know any info guys if possible. Bought this truck roughly a month ago. I also noticed i am only getting 14mpg which is definitile too low. I will try to clean the intake and EGR ports how the previous thread stated. I will also be changing the spark plugs and all filters let me know if there anything else i should change or clean. I only get roughly 175miles on a full tank. If i could get 200 + i will be a happy camper.

thanks again

Might want to change your knock sensor while you're at it
