My 2010 MDX has oil underneath engine area. Any suggestion is appreciated

Hi guys,

I took the photo from the front of the car. The red mark is the oil pan which is pretty clean, And some oil leaking on the right of the photo. The car has oil consumption issue, but I found that oil consumption is mostly happen going up hill. I did highway drive do 300 km. I see very little to non oil consumption. But with local city drive with 80% on hilly area. Oil consumption is pretty bad.

This is the photo I took from behind to the engine area.

Could you please let me know what the problem could potentially be and what I should do? Thanks a lot.

well gravity will push the oil down so you'll need to move your investigation up into your engine bay to identify where the leak is. Grab a bottle or two of brake clean, clean off all areas around the valve cover, oil pump, etc. and keep an eye out for new oil coming down.

^Simple green and Zepp purple are also good engine degreasers. I've used both when investigating the sources of my RDX's (many) oil leaks.
