Can someone tell me how you can foret to put an oil cap back on when your business is to CHANE OIL? It did not happen to me, but my mother after she got her oil changed yesterday and was damned lucky to get home o.k. today.l She only drives a Daewoo Leganza, but that is not the point. She could barely get it to the curb the engine was running so hard. There is oil all over the engine and at this point she does not know if it is repairable. How is this possible. Don't they do a safety check before they release the vehicle. How can you forget a OIL CAP! I guess the better question is, how are these guys still in business? Now she has to get the car towed to them to try and remedy this problem. I know a few of you have had some problems with them, and I wished I had known that she was going there because I would have turned her against it. I'll ask again how can they still be in business?

Sorry to hear about that. That's why I never trust those monkeys working on my car, let alone any other car. I hope they fess up and take care of the repair bill (I highly doubt it) but good luck and keep us posted.

Oil cap--that's nothing. A friend of mine went there years ago with his '90 Pontiac Grand Am and they drained the oil and forgot to put the *new oil* back in. They even started it up and drove it out of the bay and around front for him when the thing started banging like mad. They pop the hood, check the dipstick and realize there's nothing in it. So what do they tell him? "Oh just drive it around to the bay again and we'll refill it." Uh, what about *push* it back into the bay.

Never never never.

and if you thought forgetting to put oil back in was bad? a friend of mine went in and they drained his transmission fluid rather than his oil AND ALSO forget to but it back.......he managed to get them to pay for a new transmission since his was then ruined - but, sheesh, that's just incredible!
