MDX: The redesign was planned for the 2012 model year, but that may be pushed back a year, when Honda's large-platform hybrid powertrain will be ready. The MDX currently comes only with a 3.7-liter V6 engine, which may raise concerns about fuel economy.

Well that sucks! I was looking forward to a redesign next year! Whatever the FMC is, i really hope they veer towards the 1G design queues....

 

The MDX and ZDX are the only Acuras that interest me right now (and coincidentally the only ones that successfully pull off the "beak").

That being said, I'm no longer confident that Acura won't eff up the design for the next gen MDX. It's sad what's happened to Honda/Acura design...

 

^^ I would agree. I've been a fan of Acura for a very long time now. In fact, my current 3rd gen TL is the 4th acura I have owned. The progression they made from the late 80's to ~2008/2009 was truly remarkable...

It all changed shortly there after. Still holding my breath...

 

Question about the 2010-2012 mmc. Has this already happened? If so, what has changed other then going from the shield to the beak?

Is there a list of changes anywhere?

 

HDD nav system and music storage, all MDX's get power liftgate and back up camera, 6 speed automatic transmission, addition of Advance package (replacing the Sport package) which adds CMBS, Adaptive Cruise control and Blind Spot indicators and ventilated seats on top of the features the old sport package came with. I'm sure there are some additions I forgot, it was an extremely intensive MMC.
