I am getting ready to purchase a new NAVI DVD for my 03 MDX. The latest on on Acuranavi.com is the Orange Disc 3.80 which is listed as the 2009 update. Does anyone know when that was released? The website FAQ states that new DVDs are released in the Fall so was this just released or will the 2010 release be soon?

They usually release the new disks in October (if they don't have any software problems). Sometimes they do minor updates during the year to the current versions; but, I would not count on it. It might be better to wait 30-45 more days for 2010 version when available.

If you purchase the current disk, the data may only be current up to Sept 2008. My 06 Navi disk contained 05 data because of my time of purchase (May of 06).

 

That is what I thought. I'll wait till the end of Oct and see if the new DVD is out

Yes, it's announced that there will be a version out in October on the Acura navigation website. So hold your horses.

 

I also have a 03 MDX that I just purchased. I would like to update the navigation and am wondering a few things before I purchase it. Does the new cd also update the screen...font and colors? Will the system be able to link to a bluetooth phone? What new options does the new cd have on it?
Can I use the screen while driving in the original version? I haven't picked up the car yet and forgot to check this out....Do you have that option when you update? I had a 07 lexus and I was not able to touch the screen while driving so I am curious if this will be the same. It isn't so much that I want to be able to use it as it's nice to have the passenger find things sometimes and it was always a pain to have to pull over to be able to use it in the lexus.
