i just noticed that my maintenance required indicator came on and am at a lost why it's on. the car only has 22,xxx miles and had the 15,000 service done a while back. i'm guessing the light came on for a oil change? any ideas...

please confirm that if i change the oil myself and use honda parts, the warranty is not voided...

Most likely it is for an oil change. You can do everything yourself, and you won't void the warranty. I would just keep receipts of the oil/filter just to be safe.

 

Yep, it's probably 7500 miles since your last service, so the light comes on. I've never had any of my Acuras in for service oil changes (I do my own maintenance) and have never had any warranty issues. Just keep your records clean and you should be fine.
