Looking to buy an 07-08 MDX

I'm in the market looking to buy a MDX. Are there any suggestions or tips I should be looking for within the car?

The Sport models have the active suspension which is very expensive to replace per shock, almost $1300 each!

The 6spd transmission was added with the 2010 Model year

The power liftgate is a must have option

I would try to find a 1 owner MDX, ask questions regarding the torque converter. Test drive each MDX you have narrowed down to your color combo/tech to see how the transmission drives.

the 07-09 have been known for hiccups with the torque converter. But most 2G are quite reliable, but this is basing my searches off websites and mdxers.org website of actual owners facing issues.

I know when I was searching for mine I checked out 08-09, but since I was getting a loan for my purchase I was able to get a '10, '11, or '12 as my budget. I went with the mid cycle refresh ones.

I am AGAIN looking for a 2G MDX but late 08 build or 09 models for my aunt who drove mine and she loves the overall size. She has a tight budget of 25-26k max. But here in SoCal it's pretty hard to find a color combo she likes, so it may take awhile.
