iPod Adapter for MDX tech / entertainment

iPod Adapter for MDX tech / entertainment

I have a 2008 MDX with the tech/entertainment package and have been looking at various iPod adapters. I am looking for a unit that provides iPod control from the radio / steering wheel AND displays text while:
- retaining XM capability
- retaining all rear entertainment system features
- retaining all navigation capability
- providing an aux jack

I’ve looked at the following models; many of them provide various levels of support for the above wish list of features. I collected the following information through conversations with various vendors, emails with manufacturers, etc. - I apologize ahead of time for any inaccuracies:
  • DICE i-HONDA-R4 – requires XM to be disconnected if you want text to display on the head unit. Also apparently you need to choose between direct or simple (iPod-based control) or DICE-control (iPod controls are locked) through dip-switch set-up… not so easy to change depending on where your unit ends up being installed
  • USA Spec PA15-HON2 – won’t display text on the Acura radios; some sort of mod is needed to the harness if you have the rear entertainment system apparently
  • NEO ProLink PODHONR3V215 – this one seems to do everything but I haven’t been able to locate many testimonials...
  • Peripheral PXAMG/iSimple Multimedia Gateway – no text if you have the rear entertainment system
I know there are many other units besides the ones I’ve listed above - I’m interested in any others you know of which match-up well with my wish list or any experience with the units I have listed.

Thanks

I am interested in this issue as well, though I do not have the ENT (but do have Tech & XM).

I was also told there was AUX input for an ipod, but can't seem to find the port.
