The outside temperature display of my '11 MDX Advance
always reads lower than other non car temperature displays.
Compared to billboard type signs and smartphone weather ...
it appears to be as much as 6 degrees lower when air temps reach 100.
How does yours perform ??? Thoughts ???

In the 91 of user's manual, there is a way to adjust the car's temperature readings. You have to go through a bunch of menus, but it should help you set it closer to other readings. It's on page 91 for my 08 MDX's manual.

My temp will read differently when I first get into my cars (colder parked in the shade in winter or higher in summer in a open parking lot). Once I start to drive, the temp seems to even out to plus/minus 1-3 degrees to what is displayed on the iphone/banks signs.

I figured the Acura temp is more exact since it represents the temp your car is experiencing instead of the temp representing the whole city in the shade at the airport 15 miles away.

 

All my Acura's have been off in the central tx area. My TSX would read way high when it was freezing outside, my MDX's have read read high in summer and can be +\- too much to be general locale. Depends on the car, not that big of prob.

To OP, what prt of town are you in?

 

I am in Austin NorthWest near the Balconies Preserve.
Have also seen some plus to minus readings
but mostly minus compared to thermometer at bumper position.
Nothing the single offset in Acura settings that can correct.
