My daughter spilled a large cup of water in the front passenger door cup holder area. When she went to wipe it up, it was not there. Does anyone know where it went? When I swing the door, I do not hear any sloshing around?

Did it drain out outside of the car when we were moving or is it still in the door panel?

It was only water but I am worried that it may damage something.

Any suggestions??

 

I'm just guessing; but, I hope Acura anticipated spills since the door has a built-in cup holder. I figure it drained out without damaging any electrical parts or rusting issues down the road. Just a SWAG. I really don't want to test this out in my vehicle.

 

if you really really want to check for damage, take the door panel off and inspect

 

The window regulator and door lock actuator are typically mounted above the door cup holder. So in theory you should be fine.
Otherwise as justin said pull the door panel and look.

 

Tip a gallon into the door cup holder area and then measure how much drips out. If it's not a gallon then you know how much the door holds!
