Hi guys,

I'm new here.. The reason I've joined this forums is that I'm looking for a new car and I need your opinion. I'm interested in a new MDX.. This is the specific version: http://www.autocomparison.com/new-cars/2012/Acura-MDX/ the AWD.. You're probably a little biased towards the MDX, but I'm also looking for a used X5. What would you guys advice?

My first advice is that you test drive both. Ultimately, what do you prefer?


And also, key question: What version of the X5 are you thinking (the diesel? the V8?)...? What year is the X5?

 

Not sure about the X5 version yet.. Maybe the V8 40000+ miles or the 3.0 Diesel.

 

I think the new MDX is the better choice if you're comparing it to a used car with 40,000 miles on it at the same price.

 

Ur askin members of an acura site. Id hope most would say acura. I say MDX 100%. Seems like ur comparing new mdw to used x5. if u go w bmw make sure u get good warranty. Im on my 2nd current model mdx, the sh-awd system is fun to drive. No issues w either mdx ive owned.

 

Depends on the X5 you are considering. There are so many combinations for the X5. Good thing with Acura's, you pick the model and pick only a couple different combos and you are done. Acura includes a ton of goodies (options on other brands including BMW) on base model and then one or two packages that to most or all the goodies you could want.
