Exclamation HELP: 2012 MDX has almost no lumbar support!

Looking for suggestions, or someone that has experience with improving the lumbar support in the MDX driver's seat. Dealer says they can't add padding, or change anything internally, due to the seat heater and airbags. Personally, I don't see why additional padding couldn't be placed in the same place/layer as the existing padding (just under the leather), but the dealer says "no, but an upholstery shop might be able to help."

Anyone have experience adding more lumbar support inside the seat? I don't want to add a lumbar pillow or anything like that, as I find over time, it compresses the internal padding in the seat, and also looks cheap in a $50k car.

I have a herniated L5 disc, and need substantial, and firm, lumbar support. Fortunately, the MDX is the wife's car, so I don't drive it that much, but I'm concerned about the first trip we're planning to take in a couple months, as my back starts to hurt literally after driving it for 15 mins.

Incidentally, drove my mom's 2010 Accord EX with leather to Cincy and back this week with no issues... MUCH better lumbar support than our MDX!

Appreciate any help!

Thanks

I should have stated in the original thread that I have the lumbar setting maxed out, and it IS working, it's just not enough support.

This is not meant to be funny but ...
a older guy in the office uses a blow up donut on his chair.
