Hi all,

I skimmed thru the manual and I want to make sure I understand it correctly. The only way to copy songs on your hard drive is if you have the actual CD and it cannot be MP3 format?.If that is the case then its pretty useless. Someone please shine in.

Thanks

You are correct with requiring a CD source because the HDD encodes to MP3. If you already have MP3 then plug your stick into the USB port.

You can put custom songs in via CD

You have to make your own CD. As long as the MDX thinks it's a standard CD, it will copy your songs onto the HDD. You can edit the CDTEXT before you create your custom CD or after it's on the HDD.

But the question pertained to the MP3 format and I do not think that you can copy from any MP3 source to the HDD.
