A couple of questions..

Hi everyone, some of you might have seen me post in the TSX or the TL sections (as I have both) - but since my TL lease is just about up, I'm strongly considering the MDX. I also have the X5 and EX350 is my sights, but am leaning towards the Acura mostly.

In light of that, I was wondering whether the Advance package has a power lift-gate?

And, compared to the Lexus, how quiet is the MDX? I've driven the 09 model, not the 2011, yet.

Thanks in advance.

Power lift-gate: standard

You'll like the MDX over the X5 and use the money you saved to take a nice road trip.

We recently purchased the 2011 MDX with Tech package and love it. We're still loading up the hard drive with songs.

Now my 2005 TL is the 'old car'.

I found the X5 to have a very stiff ride, almost "harsh". Over a long drinve the MDX would be more comfortable. It is also cheaper to maintain, and will hold its value very well.

Much appreciated. Thank you for the comments. I was very much considering sedans (GS, E, TL), but after thinking about it, I need the space that the MDX offers. Plus, I very much miss ventilated seats from my M45, so the Advance package caught my attention. And, finally, Acura is offering wood on the steering wheel (RL, MDX, and RDX). Loved that on my Q45.

I always found that I didn't have enough space for all my stuff in sedans, except maybe for the Jeep. But even though it was my fastest car (except for the tricked out Talon TSi that someone wrapped around a tree), it was built like a piece of sh!t. I have no clue about the new Jeep, but last gen was a disaster. And I'm not about to experiment with another one.

A friend of mine has a loaded X5, but he paid through the nose, and doesn't have 1/2 the features of the MDX Advance. The other alternatives, RX and ML don't offer 3 row seating. Nor the features for the dollar. Also, the Lexus is fugly, inside and out.
