I have a 2010 MDX, and in talking to some other MDX owners, have determined that the gear indicator on the console should be lit at night. Mine is not, so I'm assuming it's a bulb. I have an MDX factory service manual on CD, but cannot find anything on how to get to the bulb to replace it. The only thing I CAN find is a mention of the connector for the bulb socket, and it appears that you have to remove the driver's side panel on the side of the console to get to it. I was wondering if there was an easier way to gain access to the bulb to change it out.

 

When you say console are you referring to the screen on the dashboard or near the gear lever?

 

The gear indicators just to the left of the gear lever, which is on the top of the console.

 

Yeah that light should be there
