Changing Spark Plugs on 2010 MDX

I looked for a DIY, and it looks like there isn't one specific to the our MDX...

Does anyone have any insight on how hard it is to reach the rear plugs? Is there a MDX specific DIY out there?

I disconnected the hood shocks and had my wife hold it wide open, while I crawled up onto the top of the motor.

My arms reached just fine.

Got it. Thanks. I was hoping to avoid any of that hassle, but I kind of expected it. Did you use a 9 inch and 3 inch extension? Or was 9 inch sufficient?

I put my MDX on the street and used the sidewalk as a step to reach the rear plugs.. Its very easy, Took me 30 minutes tops the first time.. I can do it in 15-20 minutes now.

Sincerely there is nothing special about the MDX Spark Plug change.. You can watch any J-Series Engine spark plug change in YouTube and be ready to do them all. Only differences is how to remove the Engine Plastic Cover for the specific engine you are working on and that´s it... My TL Type-S uses Torx Bolts for the Ignition Coils while my MDX uses simple Hexagonal Nuts which makes it easier to work on, it just sits higher and thus it needs a little bit of boost to reach the rear plugs... Other than that is 1/10 on DIY difficult rating.

Do not use BOSCH Plugs on any Honda Product..
Avoid Low End plugs ala NGK V-Power and such, The MDX requires only High End Plugs which are top of the line plugs either from NGK (LASER IR) or DENSO (LONG LIFE IR).
