Break-in Procedure?

I can't access a MDX owner's manual, so I thought to ask folks here. I'm planning on traveling from Twin Cities Mn to Chicago to purchase a new MDX and then plan to drive it back approx. 330 miles. Is there a recommended break-i procedure? Will this be detrimental to engine? Should I just have it transported back instead? Thanks!

people are pretty divided on the break in issue ... some say drive it hard so everything will mesh together each other very well from the get go. others say go easy on it for the first 1000 miles then drive it hard.

i personally think if you just take it ez on the drive home you should be good. try to keep the speed around 55. i dont think the drive will affect the life of your engine much if any

If you want to go by the books. All it says is no hard take offs for first 600 miles. Does not mention anything about how slow or how fast you should/can go. Personally, I just drive normal and keep the speed within 60 on highways and vary it up and down by 10mph. No jack rabbit takes offs is for sure.
