Hey guys,

I bought a used 2005 Acura MDX last year. Back up camera worked find for a few months. But then it just stopped working. When I put it in reverse nothing happens, map just stays up on nav screen. I've always had Volvos and have done a ton of work but seems like the only thing everyone keeps suggesting is checking the wiring in the rear hatch. I've done that and checked fuses. All check out good. Back up lights and auto tilt on side mirror works just fine on revese. I know my battery died a few months back and wondering if that messed something ups since it seemed to be around that time it stopped working. Any suggesting?

 

I recall a another member here saying that the 1G Backup camera cables in the Tailgate-Chassis rubber boot likes to break from wear from opening and closing the tailgate..
Might wanna look into that.
