Awd light

Just got a service awd light on my 2007 MDX. Autozone scanned it for me and no code. Wheels slipped in the rain so I know it’s not working. Any ideas where to start? Any help is appreciated!

autozone readers usually read only check engine light, not awd or airbag or other systems. More than likely it is a bad wheel speed sensor, but you'll need a mechanic with the right scan tool to help you figure out which one. I've used Bluedriver ($99 from amazon) and it gives AWD and other codes on your phone.

OK, did that. Found out its my left rear speed sensor. Any idea if that something I can clean or just replace. Also, some say I should change the hub as well.
ANY HELP IS APPRCIATED!

check for any wheel bearing play. If there is none, no reason to replace! Youtube has great videos on how the wheel bearing should be nice and solid. I'd use a good OEM sensor replacement rather than trying to clean. I'd also check wires going from the sensor to the car to make sure there are no cuts before replacing system parts.

Acuraoemparts has the sensor for around $40, use coupon code acurazine for 5% off. It's under the parts-> Chassis -> Rear lower arm.

Ordering the parts now. You have been so helpful! So just today my navigation said "Check Disk "Unformatted". Then worked after I shut the car off and restarted it. Would you know anything about that? Thanks again!

dvd drive could be failing and they are not cheap to replace, alpine can refurbish them for around $500 last time I looked into it.

Do you think there is any chance it’s the disk? I don’t think I’ll spend that much to replace the drive. The car is getting old!
