had 2 mdx's this past 2 months with radiators failing. coolant and trans fluid mixing causing a huge mess! so far they are were both 03s i think. has anyone else encountered this??

 

I know a couple of people who own an 01, and an 02 MDX. They both had radiator/cooling system problems, but both MDX's are in the 160K to 180k mile range and the coolant system was serviced once on the 01, and NEVER on the 02.

I am more inclined to chalk it up to owner neglect in these cases...

I'm surprised the 01, and 02 MDX's my friends own are still running, if the above is any indication.

 

thats horrible. what year and how many miles were the vehicles.

 

I have seen the trans cooler lines rust and break off at the radiator and cause this mess a few times. Higher mileage 03+s.

 

I just traded a 2001 MDX that had 75K miles and never had a leak problem of any kind. Well there was the outside mirrors that thended to hold wash and rain water but Acura issued a service fix for that.

 

My Daughters "04 has 58K and looks beat but the radiator is still fine with it...
