Hi all,
I have an 07 MDX sport and when I got home today, I noticed that the cover to my antenna/GPS electronics on the roof is gone! Im referring to the flat cover (or shark fin type cover) that mounts to the top of the roof and covers the electronics for the GPS. My question is...if it rains, am I going to toast my GPS and radio? Does anyone know of a parts car MDX anywhere who would sell me the cover? I tried looking on Ebay but all I can find is non OEM shark fins. I would rather have the oem cover which doesnt stick up but is flat. I called the dealership and they wont sell me the cover only. They said I would have to purchase the entire antenna. So i figured Id check here first before shelling out a bunch of money just to get the cover. Should I cover the electronics with tape or something in the meantime or is it ok if it gets wet? Im wondering if the cover is water tight, or if its just to pretty everything up. I just dont want to mess anything up on my nav or radio. Im a little ocd when it comes to my car and Im freakin out (probably more than I should) so if anyone has any experience with this, PLEASE let me know!

Using an online auto salvage search engine, I found this salvage yard with a 2008 roof top antenna for $40.00

Here is a link for the search engine to check salvage yards. Using years 2007-2009 which should be the same, I found a total of two. The one listed for $40.00 and another yard which says to contact them for a price.

Saweeeeeet! Thanks ls. I just got online to start checking salvage yards and figured Id check back here first. Great minds think alike I guess
Thats a heck of a lot cheaper than the $89.00 plus tax that the stealership quoted me.
