Almost there ...

I was going to post in the owner's sticky, but figured better wait till I have my hancock on the paper .LOL .. but could hardly wait till later on after work to sign for a 09 MDX .... been a long time lurker here & seeing very few traffic (comparing to the 3G TL forum that I frequently visit) ...

I hope your deal went well.
It is a great feeling! I just picked up a new TSX a few weeks ago!

Post some picks of your MDX!
My parents got an 08 MDX Tech last year (we got a great deal on their 06 MDX) we love love it!

Congrats on the purchase......

I'm wanting one pretty badly too, but I'll have one in due time.

Not sure where you are located 1tufgt, but here in the bay area, I have two dealers willing to sell sports/ent. MDX at 42250, after only email inquiry a few times.

Good luck to you ....

Hey.. congrats!

The 2G MDX is nice! I did hear that some owners have had reoccurring issues though. Keep us updated on your thoughts.

majofo .. thanks for the welcome & don't start giving me heart attacks already ... LOL

seriously though, what kind of reoccuring issues are u referring to here ? I thought MDX is pretty solid in erms of perf. & relia. ... also this is not a first-year new model ... hopefully mine will hold up like the other Acura cars I've had over the years ...

so I hear..
random electrical issues..
issues with power steering rack..
some interior rattles & noises (no rattles in the 1G)..
cheap seat problems (wrinkling & cracking)..
cylinder leak..
whistling A/C..
premature HID failure..
Compliance bushing failure..
Buzzing & popping speakers..
Doors won't unlock (freezing water)..
Dead battery issues (related to power drain not battery)..
Broken back seat (3rd row) lever..
Lots of navi / radio issues..
Possible tranny issue (shift solenoids 1st & 3rd of course)..
P/S pump..
lol.. It's like the 3G TL was transformed into the 2G X.. You may not have any of these problems but keep a lookout. My '03 X has been almost issue free besides regular maintenance.. I'm sure my tranny will take a dump sometime soon but it's annoying when a redesign has so many hiccups. I'll wait before trading up.. I love the X though...

btw.. these issues are mostly '07 so the '09 might be cherry.

My 2007 Sport/Ent has been trouble free......Is it perfect? No but trouble free. My 2004 RL fit and finish doesn't compare to the 07 MDX. they def. cut corners with quality fit and finish on the 2G MDX.
Majofo: you are reading TOO much into those complainers on the other M D X . xxx site.....
Ole timer out....

how dare ye mention other site.. lol.. but I've been thinking about trading up.. I'm gonna wait til X'rs hit the 100k mark and look for feedback. I test drove one and I really liked it.. I don't like the fact that fuel efficiency went down, but the tech package, navi & features were nice.

Yeah I visit this side maybe once every two weeks.. but to be honest.. I love my X more than the TL. It would be cool if the MDX side had organized folders like peformance / problems / pics..
