2013 MDX advanced vs tech
Looking at my first MDX(2013). Just looking for opinions. Is the advanced package worth the extra $, or is the tech package good enough. I appreciate your help and experiences.

It really depends on what you want and if the the extra cost is worth it to you. There were things I wanted which only the Advance offered, such as 19" wheels, cooled seats, collision braking, blind spot indicators, sport/comfort suspension and adaptive cruise control.
The tech is a great package, the Advance adds the above items (I think I named them all). Good luck with your decision, you can't really go wrong with either package.

I opted for the Tech package and with tsturbo. Disregarding the 19" wheel package -- which can be acquired aftermarket -- the best feature of the Advance is the Active Damper System which probably caters to those of us who tend to drive in a more 'spirited' manner.

Agree with the posts above. I think the advance package offers a lot of great features that is worth the money, but it all comes down to what your preference is. Do you need more than the tech package?

I just bought a new advance with entertainment package. I love the advance so far, I was someone who was going to buy a BMW or Mercedes SUV, but was convinced by several german car owners not to buy one if i planned on keeping it past the warranty. So for me advance/entertainment package helped justify buying an Acura instead of the whole German luxury thing, and so far I think it was a smart decision, and im 100% happy I went with the advance because of the features.

All good points as above.
The Advance is absolutely worth it, IF the 2-mode suspension, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise, cooled/heated seating, and larger wheels are important to you. I have had several clients purchase the Advance just for 1 or 2 of the items, especially the suspension and blind spot system. I really enjoy the ride modes, both comfort and sport, and the wheels along with the cooling seats and blind spot.
Great package, but look at both if deciding based on your needs.

The cost of ownership on these three models are a BIG difference.

my only problem is that the rear heated seats only come with the entertainment package which in my opinion should be on tech and advanced, not specific to entertainment because they have nothing to do with that word. we just ended it at the advanced package which is great, all the features mentioned above are the reasons why we got it and the better seats are also a huge upgrade.

Back in 07 the only way that you could get a power tailgate is if you bought the ENT package. Proof that they still have no idea how to option package a car.
