2012 MDX w/ tech (with Navi)

Is there ANY way to make 2012 MDX (with navi) handsfree confirm the phone number before it dials? Right now, if I say "dial John", it just dials the # whether it's right or wrong #. This is very annoying and distracting while driving.

You should be saying Call John...then it will confirm and show John's number on the MID screen between speedometer & tach, and repeat his name/voicetag to you to confirm, followed by a yes or no from you.

Have you used that method?

Hi, sorry I had a typo in my post. I did try "call john" and it simply dial without confirming. Since I have navi, I don't see anything on the MID, I only see info. on the navi screen.

Hi, I have a 2007 MDX with navi/sports pkg/ent system.Never had that problem - it would asked if you want to dial/call john but number would show in the mid, just enought time to cxl call if the number is wrong.

Are you saying in 2008 MDX handsfree system prompts you to confirm the number / name before it dials?

My problem is, my 2012 MDX with navi does NOT even confirm, it just dials while showing number/name on the navi screen. So, I am forced to look at the navi screen to make sure number it correct.

The operational features and controls are different in many instances between the 09 and before and the 10 and after. Numerous threads incorporate misleading information due to the significantly different changes to the MMC.
