So, I got my MDX back this week and can confirm the leaks are resolved. Turns out one of the oil pressure switches and the camshaft seal was leaking, so they addressed it. SUV drives much better now. Hoping this keeps up for another 50K lol.
Right now, the PS steering seems fine, but I see where it needs to be rebuilt soon to prevent it from leaking.
Still going strong... A lot of pollen in Central Florida, so I had my son wash the cars. He's starting to take an interest in cars and his reward was his first driving lesson around the neighborhood. MDX is due for a A16 service.
I believe it is time to replace my suspension on the MDX after 225K+ miles. After reviewing a quote from my independent shop, I'm debating if I should just tackle it myself.
Attached is a screenshot of the recommendations that I declined:
Since my tires are definitely warm unevenly,, I want to start building out what I should consider getting to replace in the coming months. I will be replacing the tires next the next 2 weeks.
Leaning towards the following parts:
1) Monroe 172423 Front left = $112.79
2) Monroe 172433 Front right = $112.99
3) Monroe 37309 rear = $54.79 * 2 = $109.58
I plan to inspect the tie rods and control arms myself as I was not provided pictures of those, but if there are any other recommendations, it would be greatly appreciated.
Minor correction... Mileage is 222,524 on the MDX vice 225K. Just got the car back and still drive great. If it wasn't for the tire wear, I wouldn't have thought there was issues with the suspension.
I do know the bump stops on the rear are basically falling apart, so I do want to correct what makes sense on the suspension.
