2011 MDX DRL lightbulb replacement

Hi everyone, I'd to know if anyone in here has replaced DRL lightbulb for LED on their mdx. If so, is it just plug and go or you have drl error on the dash . Is it easy to replace or you have to take the bottom panel of the front bumper to have access to the light? Any tip would be helpful, thanks guys

Yes i have just replaced my DRL lights with brighter bulbs Piaa Extreme White.
You have to remove the frount bumper to do this or be very skilled and remove the bottom front cover. Note you can not put in Xenon kit in the high beam or DRL, as they are on the same circut as told by dealer. Will flicker or get a code in the dash. I have exnon in the fog lights and brighter bulbs in the lows. it was a lot of work for the first time next time much easyer.

Tuan,

Your manual also has the instruction of how to remove and install the DRL or Fog light. I did mine DRL with LED and that needed the decoder, and I have that done successfully. the LED foglight didn't need the decoder. Mine also 2011.

Aiia, bobin... thank you so much for replying. Hey aiia.. did you purchase led drl with resistor and led fog by itself from v-led ? Does LED fog fit the housing? or it is too long? Thanks

I bought everything on Ebay. The LED fog fit without any issues and doesn't need any resistor. The DRL though needed. I didn't use v-led. I heard you don't need resistor for it, but it's more expensive.
