2010 Exhaust Tips

I am in need of exhaust tips for my 2010 MDX Advance. I had a little mishap and they were dented/bent. There is no damage to the rear bumper, muffler or the rest of the exhaust system, but the bent tips are an obvious eye sore.

Does anyone know if the stock tips can be purchased online? Or, long shot, does anyone have an extra set of OEM exhaust tips for a 2010 MDX- perhaps you possibly modded yours? Thanks!

Careful use of a couple of different size gas pipes (home depot) and you could bend those back to the point it would be hard to tell anything happened. Doubtful you're going to find those without buying some portion of the exhaust system, perhaps all the way back to the first joint you come to.

sorry to hear this happened...

The tips are welded on to the muffler so I don't think acura just sells the tips. It looks like you have to get new mufflers (left $193, right $399)

You could also try a muffler/exhaust shop and see if they could cut the tips off and weld on a similar looking tip.

Ouch is right. Shoulda gotten the backup sensors. Thats assuming of course you backed into something. Check on ebay and see if anyone is selling them. How did that happen and what did you hit or what hit you?

The 2010 advance has a back up camera but you have to be looking at the display for it to be of any use. As stated on the RL forum, the backup sensors are only there to tell you to look at the camera!

Was driving home from a ski trip- went to make a U-turn and reverse into what I thought was a drive-way (there was a garage just off the road). Everything was covered in snow and it was snowing, but I assumed if I backed into the drive-way, I could make a safe U-turn. Well, there was no drive-way and I "fell" back into what must have been a 2-3 foot ditch off the road at about a 40 degree incline. Back up sensors would have been no help. And the camera obviously was not either. Driver error or shitty Wisconsin roads- most likely. On the plus side, I had no problem getting out of the ditch though thanks to SH-AWD. And minimal damage given the impact/situation. But a big cosmetic eye-sore for me.
