Would you current 2006 MDX owners still buy one again

 

95% of the tranny problems in the first gen were with the early years. 2005 + 2006 model years are supposed to have a revised tranny to address the problem. I have a 2006 MDX with 95K on it, and the only problem I've ever had with it is 1 LED behind the heated seat on/off switch went out.

Most reliable car I've ever owned, and I'm looking forward to getting a 2007/2008 MDX in the near future to replace it. If I could go back I would absolutely buy this suv again.

 

I have an 06 base that I bought used exactly 2 years ago yesterday, and love it. I bought it with 10,800 on it, and it now has about 42,200.

It's funny you mention the LED light behind the heated seat, I have that same problem, just noticed last week. I need to replace that myself. I have also had this weird electrical problem with the auto down driver window, but the dealer showed me how to reset it in 30 seconds, and I know now. It happens every few months or so.

As for the MDX itself, I love it. Absolutely love mine, and will keep this thing until probably 150-200K miles, it is definitely a good investment. Sounds pretty steep of a price, look around though, there's a lot for sale. Use ebay Motors and type in your zip and search 100 miles, you can pick up usually too. Good luck!

 

The LED is pretty simple to replace, 10 mins max. I've had the issue with the auto down window as well a few times. In case anyone else is wondering how to get it back. Push the button for the window to go down, and hold it down for 3 seconds after it's all the way down. Now pull the button, and hold it 3 seconds once the window is all the way up. That will reset it.
