I am considering buying a 2002 MDX at 88k. The owner said that everything is fine with it. And I asked about the transmission and he mentioned that around 60k he had some issue. When it was going down hill, transmission down shift itself and then up shift. He took it to mechanics, transmission fluid replaced and everything worked fine since then. It sounds kind of odd to me that fluid will solve it? I guess this may be a know issue for 2002 MDX, downshift and upshift? Anyone had this issue. I know that 2001-2002 transmissions are not very reliable.

It also has some scratch type damage on right side, with 88k what would be a reasonable price?
