My daughter drove up to Smokey Mountains for a weekend vacation with her family. All went well on the drive. This morning the car would crank but no power... wouldn't move out of it's tracks. She had it towed to a shop. The parts swappers there put on an idle air control valve, didn't fix it. Then they suggested a timing belt... They just had it replaced about 6 months ago... Got any clues what else to look for? For some reason the shop guy ruled out the injectors. Are there any known common ailments which might cause this in a 2002 MDX with about 200,000 miles on it?

 

If the car cranks and has no power (I wonder if you mean it runs but has no power) I would be looking at something in the drivetrain. Transmission, solenoids, fluid, etc.

I would also check the air intake and make sure there is not an obstruction there. I saw a Chevy truck one time that parked and a bird made a nest in the air intake snorkel. The truck would start, but wouldn't go over 10 MPH!
