07 MDX - Bluetooth/ "phone in use" issue
07 MDX - Bluetooth/ "phone in use" issue
My Bluetooth seems to allow incoming calls and dial calls from my cell. But if I was to use the talk button on the steering wheel, the car prompts me that the "phone is in use". Is this a phone issue or Bluetooth issue with the mdx?
Also, I have previously synced my address book to the car, and now the address book is greyed out because the car thinks the phone is already in use.
Anyone else have this problem?

We didn't have your specific problem, but ultimately had the HFL unit replaced. With ours we were having problem making and receiving calls. I decided to unlink and relink my phone and it wouldn't link.
If yours is failing be on the look out for parasitic draw on your battery.

How easy is it to replace the unit?
I've searched this forum, but all I can find is how to change the HFL on the TL.
Any help is appreciated.

my HFL issue in my MDX: i can make calls fine, i can receive them BUT then the BT drops the call back to my phone for 95% of my incoming calls. my phone is compatible with the system according to Acura. i end up using my speaker phone off my phone to talk
i have brought this issue up with my dealer, and they replaced the HFL once already. after the "fix" i thought everything was working fine, until it started to drop the incoming calls back to my phone again.
i've brought it up unofficially with my dealer, and my SA seems to be just as baffled. so, i'll revist my HFL issue again officially and have them look it over when i have the patience to deal with it.
i believe the HFL unit is in the rear of the center console...there are pics around here somewhere in another thread...found it.

Tltrigirl beat me to it.
Our was replaced under our extended warranty, so I didn't do it but it doesn't seem like it would be difficult to do. Good luck and keep us posted.
